Core to
the “Continuous Alignment” philosophy is the deployment of operational
management frameworks that allow stakeholders and organizations to proactively
align with program or customer needs, improve customer services and lower
program risk. SRS dynamic Governance, Accountability and Performance Management
(dGAPM ®) framework is a set of processes, management structures with defined
roles and responsibilities. Key features of dGAPM ®include:
1. Collaborative – Relies on collaboration
to achieve results – Stakeholders work together to realize mutual benefit.
2. Dynamic – Promotes and
responds to change. All aspects of the project or operation and its output are
assumed to be in flux and will experience change at one time or another. It
assumes that the project or relationship scope, deliverables, services,
products, pricing, risk & reward allocation (if any) is required to be
understood at all times, however it is not fixed and may change in accordance
with an alignment process as part of the overall governance model.
3. Outcome-Centric – Focuses and
channels Stakeholder energies on the achievement of a desired outcome and
harvesting of benefits. The outcome and benefits are also dynamic and managed
through the alignment processes.
4. Adaptable – Can be applied
to almost any type of major project, operation entity, outsourced function or
relationship and can be implemented prior to a sourcing process, or as part of
a sourcing process. In many cases, we have been able to establish dynamic
governance well into the steady state operational phase of a project.
5. Active – Forces active tactical
and strategic management and alignment practices to define or re-define the
existing culture. It implements structures to facilitate the strategic
management and alignment on an ongoing basis.
