The SRS SourcingWorkbench ™ for procurement professionals is an integrated set of software-based modules designed to manage and operationalize the full lifecycle of the sourcing process, from planning through contract management and beyond.

 

Whether you are procuring professional services, commodity products, IM/IT systems or complex business solutions, the SRS SourcingWorkbench ™ delivers the capability to conduct and manage the sourcing process more successfully and efficiently than ever before. The SRS SourcingWorkbench ™ allows you to manage the resulting contract in the traditional fashion or by adopting the SRS Governance, Accountability and Performance Management (GAPM ®) framework to facilitate the continuous alignment of deliverables with your business objectives and industry best practices. The SRS SourcingWorkbench ™ offering provides the modules and the business processes to manage project risk and harvest expected benefits.

 

The current version of SRS SourcingWorkbench ™ is comprised of the following five modules that can be deployed and used independently:

 

 

1.       Procurement Planning Module

This module is comprised of proven methodologies and templates to assist in developing the optimum procurement plan. Key Stakeholders interests are aligned and converged into a sound all-encompassing, outcome centric, procurement road-map. This road-map will act as the reference point and blue-print for the subsequent procurement phases. This includes:

 

a.       Develop the right sourcing strategy,

b.       Shorten the cycle to develop your projects solicitations documentation,

c.       Shorten the cycle of your evaluation and negotiation processes.

 

 

2.       Procurement Development Module

This module is comprised of easy to use software applications that facilitate the planning and development of procurement documentation (RFI, Draft RFP, RFP, SOR, specifications, model contract clauses, etc.).

 

a.       Ability to leverage SRS’s extensive library of requirements to assist with starting RFP development

b.       Capturing and maintaining Statement of Requirements (SOR)

c.       Capturing of evaluation criteria and associated evaluation notes

d.       Ability to allocate weights at multi-levels of the SOR

e.       Provide analysis tools to:

-      Assess the relative weight of requirements & sections in relation to the overall desired outcome

-      Determine Ratio of Mandatory to Rated requirements & Total Rated points

-      Track outstanding issues

f.        Automatic production of SOR including:

-      Requirement Type (Mandatory & Rated)

-      Description & Evaluation Criteria

-      Evaluation weighting & applicable thresholds

-      Vendor response templates

g.       Capturing of evaluation criteria and associated evaluation notes

 

 

3.       Bid Period Management

This module is a software application that assists in the management of the Bid Period phase of the solicitation. This module includes:

 

a.       Capturing and tracking the responses to Vendor Questions

b.       Capturing and tracking Internal Change Requests

c.       Managing Amendments and automatically producing documents for Posting

d.       Tracking outstanding issues

 

 

4.       Strategic Evaluation Framework Modules

These modules are built upon SRS’ Strategic Procurement Evaluation Framework (SPEF ™) which utilizes sophisticated evaluation applications resulting in faster, more accurate, auditable and transparent evaluations. SPEF ™ also addresses the organizational readiness for successful evaluations. Key issues are discussed and decided upon early in the procurement cycle such as optimum evaluation teams’ compositions and membership requirements, evaluation logistic management, and evaluators’ orientation. SRS makes evaluation a positive experience.

 

Evaluation Readiness Module

a.       Capture detailed evaluation criteria utilized by evaluators

b.       Provide analysis for determining number of evaluation teams and team compositions

c.       Capture evaluation logistics

d.       Produce evaluation readiness plan

e.       Leverage SRS’s training material to customize and deliver evaluator training

5.       Contract Management Module

This module facilitates the effective management of relationships and contracts. It provides the information and management tools to actively manage relationship/contract governance, contract deliverables and Service Levels.
